It's outrageous and shameless, decadent and extravagant. March into Merivale is five weeks of world-class food, wine and over-the-top debauchery.
AVANT became and integral part of the Merivale team to deliver March Into Merivale 2016, one of Sydney’s most respected and acclaimed food and wine festivals with over 35 events across 60 Merivale venues.
Working with the Creative Directors, AVANT managed all brand partners across the festival including Absolut, Avion Tequila, Chandon, Dom Perignon, Moet Hennessy, Jaguar, Lion Nathan, Commonwealth Bank, Host Plus, Secure Parking, Villa Maria, Coca Cola and San Pellegrino.

Villa Maria’s integration within the March into Merivale program saw the brand leveraged across several key areas.

Placement of Villa Maria wine by the glass in Ivy, Establishment, Coogee Pavilion and Villa Maria wine available by the bottle across all Merivale Venues throughout the festival.

Villa Maria as the exclusive table wine option for Launch Party, Mystery Dinners, Chef’s Signatures, Friends with Benefits and Foreshore Festival.
The brand also activated through a bespoke wine tasting event ideated by AVANT and co-produced along side the Merivale Events Team. The experience saw Merivale in-house Master Sommelier Franck Moreau and Villa Maria Winemaker, Josh Hammond, present an evening of intimate wine tasting, where each picked their favourite wines and discussed the differences between new and old world wines.
These curated experiences along side with brand positioning saw Villa Maria positioned as the key wine supplier for Merivale during the event period.
