Little Marionette have been coffee partner at TEDxSydney for a number of years, and despite the upheaval that was 2020, this year they continued that valued relationship. The specialty coffee roasters worked alongside the AVANT team to reimagine what their role as coffee partner meant in a COVID world, and for a digital TEDxSydney event. The resulting activity was a mix of old and new, which demonstrated Little Marionette's willingness to pivot and thrive in spite of the obvious obstacles of being a hospitality and physical product partner of a digital event.
For the "old" Little Marionette provided a mini coffee cart servicing all of the coffee needs on the day for the on site team and the few attendees that were able to view TEDxSydney live in studio. They also send out a text message to all registered attendees on the morning of the event offering a free Little Marionette coffee to all attendees, which could be redeemed from a number of stockists around Sydney.
The "new" manifested itself as four discovery sessions under the TEDxSydney pillars of Community & Culture and Creative & Curious, that were presented and attendees could join during main stage breaks. These discovery sessions served to offer additional content, and a chance to learn and engage with partners and other attendees in lieu of The Hub of years past. Little Marionette sessions included educational videos with members of their team followed by live Q+A's around the following topics:
